The South Pacific Islands Festival started in Mesa in 2021. This event combines cultural education with workshops, arts & crafts, and entertainment for a day to remember.
Enjoy activities like how to husk a coconut, weave a basket out of palm tree fronds, or dance with fire! End the night with what is known as a “siva afi” or “fire dance.” See a special performance from a Hawaiian musician, and local dance groups performing dances honoring the islands of Tahiti, Tonga, Samoa, Hawaii, and New Zealand. Don't forget to grab a bite to eat from one of the local food vendors and more!
